Special collaboration Nissan Navara build with RAW 4x4 South-Africa complete

Updated: Sep 5, 2022

We are proud to release the final results of our collaboration build with RAW 4x4 South-Africa. Being a proud Raw 4x4 dealer and off-road product manufacturer in Cape Town we took on this opportunity in building the ultimate 4wd vehicle to showcase the RAW 4x4 brand across the country.

The idea behind the project was to create the ultimate "once-off" Nissan Navara with the best of the best off-road products. Unique was the main focus point of the build.

So how do we accomplish this? With BOC off-road Industries now only specializing in off-road product manufacturing this was the perfect opportunity to showcase our capabilities to a larger market, so that meant let's go all in on features and capabilities of this line-up of custom accessories.

Then it was off to the blank canvas to get things underway. First up was the front bumper. We decided to design the front replacement bumper with the most optimal approach angles and mounting comfort for reproduction in the long run.

This meant designing the side profiles with removal inspection plates for further maintenance on the vehicle and mounting the bumper to our integrated winch plate for ultimate strength and impact capabilities. Other features included a foldable license plate holder to accommodate for the hidden Runva winch and ultimate protection to the winch itself being located +-80mm behind the front section of the impact section of the bumper for collision safety.

Obviously we also added our famous bottle opener recovery points should you get stuck and require a bit of extra motivation to get going again and an antenna mount to let your friends know you might be running low on stock for the bottle openers. (We thought of the worst situations you might find yourself in here...)

Last but not least we topped it off with a full aluminum bash-plate coated in yellow raptor liner for ultimate machinal safety satisfaction.

Moving on the business in the front and party in the back section, we went with our main rear BOC bumper design to accommodate the Nissan Navara chassis and bumper like a glove. Features included our 2mm stainless stepping plate, SA motorsport rated recovery points mounting directly to the chassis, all accessories sinked in for collision purposes and parking/reverse sensors compatible, bottle opener recovery points (Morné proving the results...), integrated tow bar, high-lift jack points and a full raptor coating.

.Now you never know when your vehicle might get lifted with a crane and dropped from a three story building, but as mentioned we had to think of every situation you might find yourself in. That's where our newly designed BOC rock-sliders comes in.

Fabricated from 2.5mm steel with triangular design methods for ultimate strength and mounting directly to the chassis with 4.8mm DOM pipe (the stuff we build Ultra4 roll cages from) you're protected against any rock, tree, pavement or small vehicles that might be in the way....

Now there's always a change of you forgetting to pull-up your handbrake near a boatyard or watching the sunset at Blouberg beach, so therefore we fitted a snorkel as well. Then we also added the following accessories to build, predator modular roof rack, buffalo aluminum canopy, bustech rooftop tent, full drawer system and 12v battery system along with Maxxis tyres for any terrain.

Did we forget something? Hell no, to top everything off on the vehicle, or should we rather say to put everything on the vehicle we chose the best of the best with a full RAW 4x4 suspension kit to accommodate the extra weight of the accessories and gain 50mm in suspension lift.

Now that's wrap! Speaking of wraps the Navara is going in for graphics this upcoming week to showcase RAW 4x4 wherever she might go!

A special thanks to Dries du Toit from Raw 4x4 Africa for making this project happen with BOC off-road Industries, excitement for the future is an understatement!
